Reasonable hotel in the Ikebukuro area, good breakfast
There's many places of interest around the hotel, room was clean, staff was welcoming and the included breakfast was pretty good for the price, like in many japanese hotels, it's buffet style with a good variety of japanese and some more western options
There's a system where you need to personally hand the key to the staff every time you leave and collect it every time you arrive, it was a bit troublesome. Since there's only one key per room it might be troublesome for people traveling in groups. The inside is not very new, so there's a smell in the aisles (it was minor, and the room didn't have any smell so it was good). The only thing I was a bit put-off about was that around the bathroom door you could see some mold spots it was only there, nowhere in the other areas)

Good location like 500m from subway and JR. Atmosphese during hotel to subway was not dangerous if we get back to hotel late at night.

What was the highlight of Hotel Grand City
It was good, I had a good time thank you.
Very well situated, connected to many interesting points. I loved the free tea/coffe machine at the 7th floor. There was even a pijama for me when I arrived in the room.
The room was a lil smelly, like old. Maybe you should put a usb plug for foreigners that don’t have the adapter.
